History

Team TechnoDynamics was formed in 2017 by Brian Wu, our former robotics teacher/coach. In our first year, we competed in FIRST® Lego League (FLL), placing first at the BC Championships. This gave us the opportunity to attend World Festival in Houston, where we ranked 8th in the world.

2019 was our first year competing in FIRST® Tech Challenge (FTC). With guidance from our mentors and experiences from FLL, we coached ourselves. Although it was a steep learning curve, our hard work paid off!  We won two awards: the Winning Alliance Award & the Inspire Award (3rd)

Team Captain

Alex is a grade 11 student at David Thompson Secondary. He built his first robot at the age of seven and found that he was a natural robotics enthusiast! Besides hanging with his teammates, he enjoys coding and robotics more than anythings else. This is his fourth year in FIRST® robotics competitions. FIRST® has allowed him to meet many new people, and he thinks it is really cool to know that like-minded people from around the world share the same passion.
